MissionThe mission of Promises2Kids is to break the cycle of child abuse through prevention, education, and advocacy.
Promises2Kids addresses the needs of maltreated and at-risk children by identifying the areas in which they are under-served, and finding programs and services to meet their needs. Promises2Kids raises funds to support current and establish new and innovative programs. Promises2Kids educates the community and is a catalyst for research on child maltreatment issues. Promises2Kids forms strategic partnerships and alliances with government, media, service organizations, philanthropic groups, hospitals, law enforcement, businesses, and political and community leaders to accomplish its goals. We make it our business to protect children. We are the people charged with ensuring that hurting children receive hope, healing, and love. We pledge to continue this important work and intensify our efforts to end suffering of children in our community at the hands of an abuser. And we pledge to support like-minded organizations that believe in children no matter what their circumstances and work each day to mend broken promises in our community. Promises2Kids is built on principles of mutual respect, integrity, fairness, and excellence. We uphold and support the highest standards of care for abused children and every action is done thoughtfully and with the best interest of children as a priority. Our vision for the future is that no child suffers abuse, no siblings are separated, and no child has to spend another birthday in a shelter. |
