Fish & Richardson Attorney Named to Promises2Kids Board of Directors
San Diego, CA (January XX, 2010) – Andrew Abrams, an associate in the San Diego office of Fish & Richardson, one of the world’s leading intellectual property and business litigation law firms, was recently appointed to the board of directors of Promises2Kids, a 29-year-old nonprofit organization dedicated to fighting against child abuse and neglect in the County of San Diego.
Abrams has been actively involved with Promises2Kids for several years, including providing pro bono legal services, and recently was instrumental in leading Fish & Richardson’s annual holiday Toy Drive, which donated more than 600 toys to the organization.
“I am honored to join the board of this great organization, which is near and dear to my heart,” Abrams said. “Protecting children is something that I am extremely passionate about and I look forward to being a vital part of this organization.”
As a member of the board of directors Abrams will serve a three-year term.
In addition to his involvement with Promises2Kids, Abrams also participates in the San Diego Volunteer Lawyers Program, the Cal-Diego Paralyzed Veterans Association, the International Trademark Association, the American Bar Association, the California Bar Association and the Asian Business Association of San Diego.
Abrams’ legal practice emphasizes trademark prosecution, portfolio management, and client counseling as well as litigation, where he assists clients in managing, protecting, and enforcing intellectual property.
